We surprised Amber and Eric and showed up at Carson's 1st birthday party. It was so fun to spend his birthday with him. Of course we would never have missed it for the world. We really enjoyed spending time with ours children and grandchildren. It was a great weekend!

Alicia's Wedding

Well, the wedding was beautiful. Chris & Alicia are now in the Bahamas on their honeymoon. She texted me to let me know they got there safe. It was really great seeing family and friends. a few we hadn't seen in years too. It was really nice to visit and I think everyone had a great time. I am glad it is over. The prep was hectic but I am glad it turned out nicely. I can't wait to see the pictures the photographer took. Others are downloading pictures to Alicia's post wedding web site. Wedding is only 2 days away

Well, we are now just 2 days from the wedding. Things have been pretty busy since I got to Phoenix on Sat. There is so many things Alicia has to get done. It is all going to be beautiful!! There is just so much we have done and yet to do. The flowers come in on Thursday and so I will be off and running getting them done. It won't be bad tho. She has tropical flowers and so I can do them ahead of time and not have to worry about them. Yahoo!! The weather here for the past few days has been in the 90's which is above average for this time of year. It looks like the temp for the wedding will be low 80's to mid 70's. In other words, warm! It has been nice though. I did take some time for me. I went out took photos of the botanical gardens and they had this great butterfly exhibit so I got some amazing photos which I will post. Rich, Lil Misty and Danny fly in Thur. afternoon. So once they get here things will really get crazy with last minute things to do with them. The rest of the kids will be in on Friday afternoon. The rehersal is at 4:00 and then off to Chris & Alicia's for the Halloween party and trick or treating. We can't forget that with the kids! I will post more later.

I am so slow!!

I was at Kenny & Johanna's on Friday and we got to talking about our blogs. She said she wished people would keep up on their blogs better. Well, I am the first one to be tardy about doing my blog so I decided that I needed to take that to hear and try to be better about doing my blog. So, thanks Johanna I will try my best to be more up to date on writing about whats been happening. We are down to the count down now for Alicia's wedding. 7ndays and counting. So, on Friday I drove down to Beaumont to visit and stay the night at Kenny's. It was so great to see them and catch up on the family stuff. Wow how I have missed out on all the happenings. I am so glad I keep in touch with Kenny and he awesome family!! I was so great seeing the boys and how I loved sitting and reading to them and looking at the pictures they wanted to share. It was a great evening just chating and relaxing. I can't wait to see you both again. The drive to LA was okay. It got so busy on the 210 and the 10. I forgot just how bad the freeways were in LA. It took me an extra hour to get to Beaumont because of it. It was okay tho, I have XM radio and listened to Old Time Radio most of the way down and had a good laugh at the comedy shows they had. I left Sat morning and drove the rest of the way to Tempe. It was an easy drive from Kens. Alicia and Chris have done a lot of work on their house and it is really looking great. We have a lot to do between now and the wedding so we are off and running!

Rich Jr.

Rich is the only one of our older children still in San Jose. He loves sports and plays community football and baseball. Dad can always count on Rich to go to a Giants game. Rich has a girlfriend Christina.

Amber Marie

Here is our daughter Amber and her husband Eric and their new son Carson. This was taken on the day Carson was blessed in Jan. 2008. Amber was a real trooper. She and Eric decided to have the baby at home. What an amazing thing that turned out to be. Carson is now 10 mts old.

Alicia Spring

Our daughter Alicia. We are pleased to welcome Chris into the family. Alicia & Chris will be married Nov 1, 2008 in Phoenix.

Our youngest daughter Nikki

Here is Nikki with her husband John and daughter Karli. Nikki is a nanny for 2 darling red headed boys and a little girl. John works in a law firm as an office manager. He will be starting dental school in the fall of 2009. Karli just celebrated her 2nd birthday. She is the apple of her parents eyes.

Our Youngest Danny

Danny is our youngest. He keeps us young. Danny is in the first grade. He goes to the same school his brother and sisters went to. He loves school and loves learning about new things. He enjoys spending time with his dad and mom.

New York City Trip

He was amazed at how tall the Empire State building really was.
